AbzeSolar is founded by the Mossi Princess H.R.H. Princess Abzeita Djigma. She is a direct descendant of the famous warrior and legendary Princess Yennenga, considered the mother of the Mossi people of Burkina Faso and who’s son Ouedraogo founded the Mossi Kingdoms.
The objective of AbzeSolar is to empower people via providing high quality solar products and solutions to improve the life of men, women and their children in rural and urban areas, who have no or poor access to electricity today.
The “MAMA-LIGHT® Initiative for Sustainable Energy” provides access to affordable energy for women, small business and children. The initiative is based on 5 pillars: Products, Financing, Cooperation, Training & Employment and a Phased Implementation. The program drives the generation of new jobs and creates a sound basis for gender equality and women empowerment.
